DMCA Notice
How copyright complaints are handled at NordicVision under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act: what belongs in a notice, what happens once it reaches us, and how to challenge a removal you believe was wrong.
Last reviewed: August 2026
Our Position
Rights in a work stay with the people who made it, financed it, distributed it, or licensed it, and NordicVision operates within the framework the Digital Millennium Copyright Act sets out for handling disputes about those rights. Complaints reaching us are read by a person and weighed on what they actually say, not processed as paperwork.
Where a protected work is reaching viewers without permission through a third-party provider connected to our service, and you either own that work or are authorised to speak for whoever does, raise it with us and the review begins immediately.
Send it complete: a notice missing key elements cannot be assessed on its merits. Chasing the gaps costs days that would be better spent resolving the underlying issue, so the full checklist sits in the next section.
What Belongs in a Notice
Four elements make a complaint workable. Gather all four into a single message rather than sending them piecemeal.
Identifying yourself
- Your full legal name, or the organisation on whose behalf you write
- An email address that reaches you
- A telephone number
- A postal address
Identifying the work
- Name the protected work you believe is being infringed
- Describe it in enough detail that we can pick it out without guessing
- If you act for the owner rather than being the owner, confirm your authority
Pinpointing the material
- Tell us where the material you object to can be found
- Add any URL, listing title, reference number, or description that narrows the search
- Screenshots help and are welcome if you have them
The statements the law calls for
- That you believe in good faith the use is unauthorised by the owner, its agent, or the law
- That what you have told us is accurate
- A statement under penalty of perjury, where that applies to you
- Your signature, written or electronic
Claims Filed in Bad Faith
Section 512(f) of the DMCA is not decorative. Anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material infringes can be held liable for the resulting damage, including the legal costs the other side runs up in answering the claim.
If you are unsure, pause: where you cannot say with confidence that the material infringes rights you hold, take legal advice before filing. A carefully built notice is worth more to everyone involved, including you, than a fast one.
How Quickly We Move
Notices arriving at the designated address follow one route, with no detours.
It arrives
Your complaint enters the copyright queue. Using the subject line given further down puts it straight in front of the right person rather than leaving it among general enquiries.
We assess it
The notice is checked for completeness and validity, and receipt is confirmed to you so it is clear a person has picked it up rather than an automated inbox.
We act on it
Where the complaint holds up, appropriate action follows and the matter is escalated to the relevant upstream provider without waiting.
Our commitment: valid, complete complaints are reviewed and actioned within 24 hours of arriving. Where something needs clarifying, you hear from us inside that same window instead of waiting on silence.
Challenging a Removal
The process has to run both ways to be worth anything. If access to material was removed or disabled and you believe that rested on an error or a case of mistaken identity, a counter notification can be sent to the same address.
Include the following:
- Your full name, postal address, telephone number, and email address
- Identification of the material affected and where it sat before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you sincerely believe the removal followed from a mistake or misidentification
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts that apply where you are
- Your signature, written or electronic
Where to Send It
Copyright complaints and counter notifications both go to the designated address below.
Copyright contact: [email protected]
Subject line: DMCA Notice
That exact subject line routes your message into the copyright queue and shortens the review. For background on how this service operates, see our Disclaimer.
